Location

Syria is located in the eastern and northern hemisphere of the Earth. For latitude it is between 33 degrees north (at the southern point, on the border of Jordan) and 37 degrees north (on the border of Turkey). For longitude, its western border is at 36 degrees north and its eastern border is at 43 degrees north.

In terms of relative location, Syria is north of Jordan and Saudi Arabia. It;s west of Iran, Afghanistan and Nepal. It is also east of the island of Cyprus, Bulgaria and Lebanon. It’s south of Turkey. Syria is mostly land-locked but it does touch the Mediterranean Sea.
